Since a total stripdown is a dangerous/delicate process I dont want to bother if it's not even remotely possible that changing the order would fix the display. The thin sheets seemed to only be able to go in one way - ie if you rotated 180 degrees the slots wouldn't line up.but it wouldn't be a stretch to say I made the top sheet the bottom and the bottom one the top. From the BIOS menu, look for the Boot Order option, and make sure the correct hard. I assume the thick plastic goes first and rests on the plastic pegs - then the thin sheets on top of that. Reboot your computer and enter the BIOS setup menu, usually by pressing a key like DEL or F2 as it boots. Is is possible the plastic under the LCD is just not in the right order? Would that cause literally no image to come through? I wasn't positive which order the plastic sheets go in (when I removed them I kept them in the right order but orientation may be off.or I flip flopped top and bottom). Due to Apple’s excellent engineering, the repair will cost around 600 because they’ll just replace the whole display. If you see screen contents but then it blacks out as you open the lid, you have a broken connector. The only odd thing I noticed is there's a connector on the t-con with no available wire to plug in (wasn't before, either) and no open ports on corresponding boards that it could conceivably connect to.maybe it's just generic and doesn't apply to this model.struck me as odd nonetheless. Try closing the screen and opening it VERY slowly. I already checked and reseated all wires and connectors. I was hoping this TV just had multiple issues that went undiagnosed initially but I have since replaced the T-con and mainboard with known working ones and the "image" didn't change at all. Did that, put it all back together, screen lights up steady now but there is no picture. A few weeks ago I completely tore down an LED TV that needed an LED strip replaced (TV would flicker then go out on powering up).
